The U.S. Army’s 11th Terminal Battalion handled port operations and was in Vietnam from 1965 to 1970. 
  • Assumed control of port: The unit arrived in Saigon in August 1965 to manage the military port.
  • Relocated port operations: In February 1967, the battalion moved to Cat Lai and ran the terminal there.
  • Received commendations: Before being inactivated in Vietnam in February 1970, the battalion was awarded three Meritorious Unit Commendations.
  • Terminal services: After the battalion was inactivated, other units like the 124th Terminal Service Company continued the work of managing the port and supplying ammunition.
