HILL TRIBE MERCENARY COMMAND US RECON TEAM DELAWARE

Recon Team Delaware was a covert reconnaissance team that conducted highly classified missions for the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) during the Vietnam War. Its operations were largely focused on gathering intelligence on enemy movements and supply lines along the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos, Cambodia, and North Vietnam.
Assignment to Command and Control Central (CCC)
Recon Team Delaware operated under Command and Control Central (CCC), one of three SOG field commands established in late 1967. CCC’s primary mission was strategic reconnaissance in the “tri-border” junction where Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia met. The team was based at Forward Operating Base 2 (FOB-2) in Kontum, South Vietnam.
