Air and Space Campaign Medal
Air and Space Campaign Medal (ASCM) is an award of the United States Air Force. First of all, which was first created on April 24, 2002 by order of Secretary of the Air Force James G. Roche. Rather designated by the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force as qualifying for the ASCM. To be eligible for the Air and Space Campaign Medal a service member must perform direct support of a military operation for at least thirty consecutive days. In addition for sixty non-consecutive days. Squadron Commanders may determine other functions that meet the intent of this award.
No individual shall be eligible for both the Air and Space Campaign Medal and a Department of Defense campaign or service medal awarded during a single tour in the designated operation. Hence separate operations, provided the participants meet the criteria for each. Multiple award of the ASCM for assignments or rotations to the same operation is not authorized.
