Afghanistan Campaign Medal

Afghanistan Campaign Medal (ACM) First of all, it’s a military award of the United States military therefore which was created by Executive Order 13363 of President George W. Bush on November 29, 2004.

The award can receive a bronze star for every campaign a member has served.

Also the United States military consequently sorts decorations into categories called Classes and Types. The Afghanistan Campaign Medal is classified as a Service Award of the type Campaign Medal.

The medal, became available for general distribution in June 2005.

Because service members who qualified for the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal by reason of service in Afghanistan between Oct. 24, 2001 and April 30, 2005 shall remain qualified for that medal. Campaign stars designate the number of campaign phases in which a service member has participated. Probably most of all do not represent subsequent awards of the ACM.  in conclusion Eligibility criteria for award of the ACM contained in reference (b) remain unchanged.
